Comment: I dropped in to West Caplaw in the passing to enquire if I could make an appointment for a chat, since I hope to start racing pigeons in the near future. Mr & Mrs Byrne were most welcoming and I hope I didn't overstay my welcome. They are very helpful fanciers and the lofts looked good from their house. Thanks for the time and help.

Comment: Many thanks for an enjoyable day at the first race from Kelso. My daughter and I had a good time waiting for the birds and chatting to the other fanciers present. Congratulations on your success so far in preparing the birds to reach this stage in the very difficult West of Scotland conditions. Good luck with the rest of the programme.

Comment: Once again thank you for your time on the occasion of the Otterburn race. The kids enjoyed playing in the trees and I enjoyed the good company and the chat with the fanciers present. Good luck and continued success in the races to come and hopefully mine will make it back in good condition and in time to compete yet another day.

Comment: Thank you for an enjoyable day on the occasion of the Tow Law race. Your hospitality is excellent. The kids enjoyed their day to the full. I enjoyed talking to the fanciers present. It was good to see the birds arriving well, especially compared to last week which proved very difficult racing throughout for the West of Scotland Feds. Alas my bird has not made it back from Otterburn, however many thanks to the fancier who donated it. We had enjoyment watching its training results and we were lucky enough to have two races.
